Super-Precision Spindle Bearings. Supreme Axial Rigidity.
Axial angular contact ball bearings for main spindles are used to support axial forces and are combined with a double row cylindrical roller bearing with a tapered bore, which supports the radial forces.
Axial Angular Contact Ball Bearings 2344
Double direction bearings of series 2344 are highly rigid, axially preloaded super-precision bearings with restricted tolerances to class SP for the bearing arrangements of precision spindles in machine tools. Due to the contact angle of 60°, they can support high axial forces.
Angular Contact Ball Bearings BAX
BAX bearings are super-precision angular contact ball bearings to accuracy class P4S for main spindle bearing arrangements in machine tools. They are always supplied as ready-to-fit sets.
Increased load carrying capacity normally brings with it a reduction in the maximum speed. Through the use of BAX bearings, it is possible to fulfil both requirements to a large extent. The bearings are available with a contact angle of 30° and, for even higher rigidity, also with a contact angle of 40°.
Class SP Super-Precision
Restricted tolerances to class SP deliver high rigidity and superior running accuracy for precision spindle arrangements.
60° Contact Angle
Double direction bearings of series 2344 support exceptionally high axial forces thanks to their 60° contact angle.
Ready-to-Fit BAX Sets
BAX bearings are supplied as ready-to-fit sets to accuracy class P4S — matched for precise preload, straight out of the box.
30° & 40° Contacts
Available with a 30° contact angle — or 40° for even higher rigidity and load capacity at full speed.
The ultimate machine-tool spindle arrangement
Pair these axial bearings with a double row cylindrical roller bearing with a tapered bore — the perfect split of duties: axial forces on the contact bearings, radial forces on the cylindrical roller bearing.
